The villas known by the twin names of "Dr. K. and Dr. B", built in 1931/1933 by Max Ernst Haefeli, are important contemporary witnesses and are listed as integral monuments. The Dr. B. house is now to be extensively renovated, as are the gardens, which were designed by the renowned landscape architect Gustav Ammann.

The house is characterized as a "modern country house". Particular attention was paid to the relationship between the interior and exterior spaces. Modernist features such as the flat roof, the sliding windows and doors, the open floor plan and the surrounding terrace characterize the architectural image. 

In close cooperation with the client and the cantonal monument preservation authorities, we are working on a well-thought-out renovation concept that respects the architectural qualities of the house while meeting contemporary requirements.
