Attic conversion SFH Eugen-Huber-Strasse
Comprehensive energy efficiency measures were implemented during the conversion of the attic. Opening up the stairwell to the roof has given the house a previously unattainable sense of spaciousness.
The roof was completely renovated to improve energy efficiency, and a photovoltaic system was integrated into the roof surface to harness solar energy. This makes it possible to generate a large part of the electricity required and significantly reduce energy costs. With the additional installation of a thermal system, hot water is also produced using solar energy. The integration of the photovoltaic and solar elements into the roof surface was carefully planned so as not to detract from the overall appearance of the single-family home while ensuring maximum efficiency.
The renovation has created a previously unattainable sense of spaciousness inside the house, as the opening of the stairwell up to the roof allows the full height of the rooms to be experienced across all floors. The newly created natural light and the individually assembled light fixture made of colored glass balls create an atmospheric density. The newly converted attic space features a carefully designed balcony from which the beautifully landscaped garden can be overlooked.
